Despite progress in recent years, women remain underrepresented in top management positions. This article delves into the challenges faced by women in Eastern Europe’s C-suite, exploring cultural barriers, gender bias, work-life balance, and representation in leadership. Cultural barriers pose significant obstacles for women aspiring to C-suite positions in Eastern Europe (Elomäki et al., 2020). Societal expectations often dictate that women prioritize caregiving and familial roles, impeding their career progression. By promoting work-life balance and supporting women’s professional ambitions, organizations can help dismantle these barriers.
